The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), is a management course many business schools offer. The course prepares students for management and leadership roles careers. The course duration is generally two years, although some schools may offer shorter or longer programs. The PGDM is considered equivalent to an MBA degree, and completing the program can lead to better job prospects and higher salaries. As a result, the opportunities for graduates of PGDM programs are very bright.

Jaipuria School of Business organized a Special Interaction Session on Future Prospects of PGDM Program on May 05, 2022, which Dr. Subrat Kumar, CEO of People Labs, headed.

Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak warmly greeted Dr. Subrat Kumar, the session’s guest speaker.”Jaipuria School of Business, Ghaziabad has a legacy of nurturing students to become business leaders.” Dr. Nayak added.

They held a lamp lighting ceremony to commemorate this event in memory of Maa Saraswati. He also introduces the director-general, Dr. Rajiv R Thakur.

Mr. Thakur began the session with a warm welcome to the students. “Health is wealth, and it is critical. We’ll concentrate on your real growth rather than just learning, knowledge, and physical and mental maturity, essential to your future.” Mr. Thakur concluded.

Dr. Subrat Kumar continued by sharing his knowledge and expertise on the tremendous prospects that lie ahead for our PGDM program and how students should best prepare themself to take advantage of them.

“It’s great to desire, but you need to work on what you deserve. Excellence is the journey and not the destination,” Dr. Kumar added.

“2022 is the finest year in the placement of Indian management education, and it’s going to continue. However, the other side is that by 2027 there will be a rise of 30% jobs that are not even present today,” Dr. Kumar said.

He advised students to be inquisitive and ask questions. He gave the following advice to strive to be creative and think outside the box. He followed up with a recommendation on networking, suggesting that students should try to network with their professors, classmates, and other seniors. Students should aim for cross-functional knowledge; they need to know their domain and understand other business spheres.

The students immensely enjoyed the session and were inspired by Dr. Subrat Kumar’s words about the bright future. After the session, there was a question and answer session in which the students could ask Dr. Subrat Kumar any questions they had about the PGDM program or their prospects. All in all, it was a very informative and beneficial session for everyone involved.
