Get creative confidence tips from Major Namrata Dhasmana!

Insecurity is a feeling of doubt about yourself, your capabilities, or what other people think about you. It’s common for us all to experience these emotions at some point during the life. Still, it doesn’t define who we are – remember that there are two sides: one where you can find confidence from being truly yourself and the other side which may worsen the insecurity if a person believes their strengths aren’t good enough.

This is where confidence and insecurity battle against each another. The key to winning this battle is not to ignore your insecurities but accept them as part of who you are, learn how to deal with them, and then move into action to eradicate the problem.

Jaipuria School of Business organized a much-awaited Guest Lecture on Creative Confidence with Strength and Weakness on April 02, 2022, which Major Namrata Dhasmana headed.

Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak started the session by discussing creative confidence and effective communication in today’s business environment. According to him, self-confidence should get supported by the appropriate amount of knowledge, creativity, and good communication.

Major Namrata Dhasmana started with Albert Einstein’s quote, “Creativity is seeing what others see and thinking what no one else ever thought.” Everyone should be aware of the core constructs: strength and weakness.

Creative confidence is the ability to think beyond the box and achieve your competitive advantage. Creative confidence can be developed by thinking creatively, examining the market, and mapping empathy. Awareness of oneself is the key to developing confidence, and you can acquire self-awareness by recognizing your strengths and weaknesses.

Additionally, Major Dhasmana remarked that strength results from both raw skill and investment, while weakness is the misapplication of strength.

There are several domains of leadership strength:

  • Executing – hard worker, focus, discipline, etc.
  • Influencing –command, communication, confidence, etc.
  • Relationship Building –developer, empathy, adaptability, etc.
  • Strategic Thinking-ideation, context, input, etc.

Dr. Vartika Chaturvedi concluded the session with a vote of thanks. She emphasized that self-awareness is crucial since it will allow us to recognize our strengths, limitations, worth, and fear.

Jaipuria School of Business highlights the advanced learning of students through experience and caters to this idea through workshops and seminars. Many students with a vast attendance attended the session, where they learned about Creative Confidence with Strength and Weakness!
