When most students think of their future, they imagine themselves in a profession where they will use the skills acquired during their academic years. However, many students are not aware of the opportunities outside of the classroom.
Finding employment may be difficult, especially when there are so many different job opportunities to consider. But if you want an edge on your competition and gain insight into what might suit you best, you should consider such a program.
Jaipuria School of Business organized a much-awaited Guest Lecture on “Institute to Industries” on April 30, 2022, which Mr. Sanjay Jain CHRO, Polyplastics Industries Pvt. Ltd., headed.
Mr. Jain used the following question to stimulate students’ thinking about the five distinctions between institutes and industries: “What are the biggest differences between them?”
He further explained that one of the significant distinctions is their environment. The academic environment is more structured and focused on intellectual development, while the industrial environment is fast-paced and constantly changing.
The main distinction is that industries typically deal with tangible goods, whereas institutes focus on intangible services. While Industries are focused on standardizing working conditions, Institutes deal with intangibles such as education and counseling.
Today’s priority in the business world is self-improvement. Unlike the traditional academic environment, industries are becoming more flexible and adaptive to stay competitive.
While both industries and institutes have many advantages, each has its own set of unique challenges. Mr. Jain said, “Whatever we learn today must be updated. ” He also discussed the numerous option versus choices while on internship.
The lecture was highly enlightening, and Mr. Jain’s vast experience in the industry provided students with a helpful perspective on the industry and the industry’s transition process. He offered several valuable tips for students looking to enter the workforce.
Jaipuria School of Business highlights the advanced learning of students through experience and caters to this idea through workshops and seminars. We are proud to have been a part of such an event and strive to provide students with similar opportunities in the future.
