Republic Day Celebration

Students and the members of the Faculty and Staff at Jaipuria School of Business, (JSB) Indirapuram celebrated the 70th Republic Day in the campus with a lot of fanfare. The Constitution of India was adopted on 26th of November in 1949 by the Constituent Assembly. However, it came into effect on 26th of January in 1950. On the same date, the Government of India Act (1935) was replaced as the governing document of India. The Constitution of India came into force with a democratic government system.

The Cultural Committee organised the celebrations which began with the unfurling of the National Flag. While the Tri-Colour was fluttering high, all present sang the National Anthem and saluted the Flag. Thereafter, the students performed some cultural events including rendition of patriotic songs, and dance performances by Anisha and Gumanshi, students of first year at JSB The Director, Dr SK Mahapatra, in his address on the occasion, explained to the students the importance of the Indian Constitution and highlighted how the Constitution provided equality to all the citizens of the country. He further urged the students, the youth, to work towards building New India. Sarthak Mittal and Ayushi Gupta, students of PGDM first year also presented their views on the occasion emphasising the role of youth in further strengthening the Nation.
