Advanced Microsoft MS EXCEL Certification

To enable students to gain advanced level skills in Excel and to gain CPD Accredited Certification in Excel in order to build career profiles, Jaipuria School of Business organized 18 hours (16 hours live training session on Excel Expert & 2-hours live session on activities related to prepare students for final Microsoft certification exam) MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST GLOBAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAM for PGDM Batch (22-24) from October 10-15,2022.

Microsoft Office is a key part of many careers and jobs. Any job with high levels of Excel used in Finance, Accounts, Projects, and numerous other roles now require advanced level skills in Excel. Many employers will test their new employees on Excel skills and will not hire staff who fail to demonstrate Excel skills.

The sessions were conducted by Microsoft Certified Trainers, Mr. Harsh Chhabra & Mr. Mukesh Kumar.The expert trainers gave hands on experience to the participating students on important topics like managing worksheets and workbooks, Managing data cells and ranges, Managing tables and table data, Perform operations by using formulas and functions, Managing charts, Create advanced formulas and macros.

The certification Program was influential in empowering the students to enhance their technical skills on various Microsoft tools and preparing them Industry ready.

Industry Oriented Workshop On “Design Thinking”​

Jaipuria School of Business Ghaziabad organized 18 Hours Industry Oriented Workshop on “Design Thinking” from September 27-30,2022. The main objective of the workshop was to provide a platform to the students where they learn skills of divergent ideation, overcome mental blocks and use rapid prototyping to ‘hone in’ on a solution. The course dealt with design thinking at three levels - approach, skills and mindsets.
This approach is an essential component of the tool kit of tomorrow’s prospective student, which enables him/her to deal with ambiguous and unstructured real world problems. The students were divided in the group where each group identified a societal problem and applied a systematic approach to solve ill-structured, real-world problems in an innovative way. This great initiative taken by the institute intended to spark innovation, foster user- centric strategic idealization, and get cross-functional teams working together towards achieving a common goal.

The facilitator and coach for the Design Thinking and Innovation Course were Mr. Aditya Anand and Ms. Mehak.

Mr. Aditya Anand is currently working as a digital strategist at ABP Network, one of India’s leading media houses. His experience encompasses three sectors - manufacturing, education and media.

Ms. Mehak is an education consultant working in the space of building institutions. She is a Young India Fellow from Ashoka University and a MS Eco from Hyderabad Central University.

Out of the 24 ideas generated by students, these were the few ideas which were really appreciated by the jury and were advised that they can pursue their DTI Projects further to create tangible outcomes for the institute:

a. Managing plastic waste
b. Improving Food quality at JSB Mess.
c. Opening a general store/Canteen at JSB.
d. Tackling Mental Illness/Stress among students

Through this workshop students were able to understand the fundamentals of design thinking approaches, apply both critical thinking and design thinking in parallel to solve problems, apply some design thinking concepts to their daily work

Workshop On “Train The Trainer On Bizlab” In Collaboration With AIMA 

It gives us immense pleasure to share that Jaipuria School of Business, Ghaziabad organized a Two days’ workshop on “Train the trainer on BizLab” in collaboration with AIMA from January 5-6,2023. The faculty trainers were familiarized with the virtual business laboratory designed for management graduates to offer them hands-on-experience on management concepts and make them industry-ready. AIMA’s Biz Lab Software focused on planning, prediction, and analysis in the area of operations, material sourcing/procurement, inventory control, R&D, marketing, HR and finance. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Richa Agarwal, an AIMA Biz Lab certified trainer. The faculties were given hands-on learning about the simulation software. The workshop was highly innovative and will definitely add value to the existing teaching learning pedagogies.

Tally Workshop for PGDM Batch 2022-24

A three-day tally workshop has been conducted in December 2022. The learning objectives for the students of this workshop were to help them to gain proficiency in the field of accounting and bookkeeping and to develop a positive attitude towards the accounting profession by working on well-known accounting software. Students learned the ethical accounting and practical application of accounting in professional life while working on Tally ERP 9 software.
Students have been assessed on their class participation, quiz, and through practical examinations. All students actively took part in this workshop and were able to gain knowledge for a better future.

Capstone Project

With the Capstone Project being a collaborative research-based work on a comprehensive management problem or question of practical significance, its desired outcome is that it provide a solution to a problem. Here, students steer the project with required inputs from the faculty guide as per the chosen topic.
With a valuable intellectual experience, it provides students the platform to demonstrate skills of creative thinking, critical reasoning, application of theory, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation while solving problems.

Summer Internship Program (SIP)

At JSB, Summer Internship Program (SIP) is designed to provide students an experience in business organization and to enable them to develop an orientation toward the industrial environment. Being six to eight weeks long, it exposes students to the dynamics of an organization and to integrate classroom learning with practical experience.
So while the host organization benefits through the availability of young and enthusiastic interns possessing newer ideas to aid in the execution of organizational tasks, students learn from industry veterans.
