Corporate Resource Centre
The corporate resource centre or the Placement Cell plays a vital role in bringing the industry and academia close to each other by providing career counselling, need-based education and organizational support. An interface between students, faculty and the corporate world – CRC initiates continuous interactions with the industry by regularly inviting heads of leading companies to the campus who share their insights on the latest issues concerning the economy.
This offers the corporate world an opportunity to interact with students and to know their prospective recruits better. Organizations reach out to students with adequate information about themselves and other data concerning students such as job description, selection criteria, industry culture, remuneration package, scope for growth and cross-functional exposure.
Being routinely conducted as part of the JSB curriculum, these help bridge the gap between classroom and the real world. The visits also provide first-hand knowledge about the organizational structure and modes of operation. Students are also given a set of questions to assess their understanding of the visits.
Live projects are an excellent opportunity for students to assist managers in solving real-time business issues. For students, these help showcase their skills in the related areas and leverage their calibre.
