Dr. Soni Sharma works as  an associate professor in the area of Business Communication. She teaches Written Analysis & Communication, Spoken Analysis & Communication & Managerial Communication to PGDM students. In her past associations at BIMTECH, Amity University and IMS Ghaziabad, she developed and taught professional communication to PGDM students exclusively.

She developed the WAC course and introduced case teaching methodology in communication classes. She also delivered placement readiness sessions at diverse educational institutes and universities. She has been contributing dynamically in the training and development of management students.

She also worked as an English Communication faculty for two years in Indonesia. She taught Communication and Public relations at the University of Harrappan, Medan, Indonesia. She has been a member of various international research groups of repute where she has contributed as mentor and moderator.

She also has been constantly active as a Trainer in the area of Communication with special emphasis on Written communication and Cross-cultural Communication Soft Skill enhancement; Personal Effectiveness for Managers, Team Building, Time Management and Negotiation Skills. She has delivered and conducted many national & international Executive and Management Development Programme in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Germany for PT Oleochem, Sinarmas Oleochemicals, Power Grid, GAIL, BHEL, Indian Postal Staff College, Indian Pharmacopeia, Institute of Biological and Indian Institute of Packaging. She has delivered many sessions on Campus to Corporate for executive trainees at GAIL, BHEL (Public Sector Enterprises) & also to PO inductees at several nationalized banks like Punjab & Sindh Bank, Canara Bank, Corporation Bank of India, Punjab National Bank & Oriental Bank of Commerce. She has also delivered a few MDPs for Finserv, Helm 360 Sriram Pistons, Syscom & Idemia.

In her 20 years of teaching and training career, she has experience in teaching and training for Soft skills enhancement, English as a Professional language of Communication, Business communication, Social & Cultural Environment in Business & Employee relations management.

She is M.A (Eng.) from Jamia Milia Islamia. She completed her M.Phil. and PhD from IGNOU. She is on the editorial board of "The International Journal of Transformation in English & Education. She has authored four books on foreign languages and communication skills. She is multilingual and the knowledge of her multilingualism enriches and enables her teaching with innovation and diversity.

She has a strong orientation for research too. She has published 22 research papers in ABDC,Scopus and UGC Care. She also has published cases in Ivey and EMCS. She has been appointed as a secretariat member of the South-East Asian Research Association.  She has been on the editorial board of the Asian Journal of Business Research (Category C (ABDC)) since 2022. She is also on the editorial board of "The Journal of English Language Studies" (a double-blind peer-reviewed international journal) by the University of Lanchang Kuning, Indonesia, “International Journal of Transformation in English & Education and “Infinite” English Literature Magazine, India.

She is an active participant and member of the Poetry and Literary Group South East Asia and has presented many poems on different themes live and also published in their e-magazine. She has worked as an Editor of two college magazines "Confluence" at the Institute of Management Studies Ghaziabad, India for five years, and "Nouvelle" the bi-annual magazine of GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida, India for two years. She has successfully conducted the International Sustainability Case Challenge Competition twice while working at the Birla Institute of Management Technology, India. She has conducted numerous college cultural events and contributed effortlessly as and when required.
