Centre for Life Long Learning (Library)
The library with its vast collection of management literature and electronic resources is a key resource of the Institute. The fully computerized library is equipped with a variety of learning media. It has a collection of over 12000+ books including the most recent publications in a variety of areas covering, but not limited to, Business, Economics, and Management. Also subscribed to more than 18K eBooks.
The JSB library subscribes to a number of periodicals which include scholarly international as well as national journals and business magazines. It also subscribes to a host of online databases like EBSCO-Business Source J-GATE, Delnet, CMIE prowess, CMIE Economic Outlook and Urkund Anti Plagiarism Software. Moreover, JSB has ensured an arrangement with other libraries for wider access and information research.
Recreational
The institute has excellent sports facilities on its campus to keep the students physically and mentally fit. The Institute has a separate ground for sports like football, cricket, and badminton. There are facilities for indoor games like table tennis and chess. There is a gymnasium. The Institute has an auditorium with a capacity to accommodate over 150 people. These apart, there is a recreation room, TV lounge and a canteen
Computer Labs
JSB Students, faculty and staff have access to the computer lab, which provide the tools and technologies to produce websites, edit papers, complete class assignments, communicate via email, conduct data analyses and access library resources. Microsoft Windows software is available for word processing, statistics, spreadsheets and database management. A variety of graphics and website-creation software programs are also available.
Business Analytics Labs
The business analytics lab is an interdisciplinary laboratory focused on the scientific process of transforming data into insights for the purpose of improving decision-making within business organizations. Researchers and students in the lab use a variety of advanced computational and statistical methods to investigate problems in diverse business fields including marketing, operations management and technology management.
Finance Lab
JSB has set up a state-of-the-art Financial Research and Trading Lab (the Finance Lab). The mission of the Finance Lab is to support advanced applied research in financial markets and equip finance managers with the mathematical and conceptual theories and best practices in financial markets. Finance Lab bridges the gap between finance theory and practice, and introduces students to the broader financial community.
Counselling Cell
The goal of the counseling cell is to assist students in becoming self-aware and realizing their full potential while managing stress and anxiety in both their professional and personal lives. In order to help students, the counseling cell listens to them and responds in a timely, confidential, and non-judgmental manner. Students who are battling academic stress, anxiety, depression, social addictions, and other issues also receive full support from the cell.
Medical Facility
Medical facilities are also available to students on campus. A hospital is located near the campus and ambulance is available 24 x 7 in case of medical emergencies. First aid kit is available at both the hostels and can be taken from Hostel Warden. A lot of pharmacies are located near the campus which provides timely delivery of medicines in campus when required.
Hostel
JSB is equipped with excellent hostel facilities that strengthen the feeling of belonging and provide students the necessary impetus to a more cohesive learning environment. JSB has separate hostels for girls and boys. JSB students find themselves part of a bustling, vibrant and virtual community that extends participatory and interactive learning beyond the classroom. Besides encouraging a better peer group interaction for group study and non-classroom activities, it also promotes an informal atmosphere for student-faculty interaction.
All rooms are networked and students are connected through a high-speed 24-hour Internet facility via WiFi. We do have all the necessary infrastructure in the hostel including power backup, geysers, air conditioners, TVs, refrigerators, indoor games, Mess, etc. We have tried to provide an environment of home away from home. The hostel mess facilities are managed under the supervision of designated faculty coordinators.
Girl Hostel
Well-furnished newly built Hostel facilities are available inside the campus for girls. With round-the-clock security. The rooms are well-lit and comfortable with separate beds, study tables, and almirahs..
Boys Hostel
JSB has a separate boy’s hostel in an independent building in a very close vicinity of our campus. The hostels have well-furnished, air-cooled rooms with attached bathrooms. We have our own transport arrangement for pick-up and drop of the students.
Mess
JSB has a well-managed mess serving interesting and delicious cousins. Students of JSB have all 4 meals in the mess which include breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinners. Some munchies are also available to the students in case they want to have something in between. The food served is hygienic, and also looks into the nutrient requirements of the students. The mess is governed by the body which includes the Dean of Student Welfare, Director of Administration, faculty heading the mess committee, Hostel warden, and the student committee.
