The learning approach at JSB combines academic rigor with real-world exposure through live projects, case studies, simulations, internships, industry interactions, and experiential assignments. Regular engagement with corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, and domain experts helps students understand current market trends, workplace expectations, and emerging business challenges. Workshops, field visits, and collaborative activities further strengthen applied learning and problem-solving abilities. This practice-driven pedagogy equips students with professional competence, leadership capabilities, adaptability, and the confidence required to succeed in dynamic global business environments.
The curriculum is designed in consultation with industry experts and continuously updated to reflect current business trends, technologies, and practices. Live projects, industry-based assignments, case studies , and workshops form a core component of classroom learning.
Students actively engage in live industry projects, mandatory internships, and innovation-driven learning through the JSB I-Lab, gaining valuable exposure to real-world business environments and organizational challenges. These experiential learning opportunities enable students to apply classroom concepts to practical business situations while strengthening analytical thinking, problem-solving, and managerial decision-making skills.
Through interaction with industry professionals, corporate mentors, startups, and project-based assignments, students develop professional competence, workplace readiness, innovation capabilities, and a future-focused mindset essential for dynamic business environments.
Structured industry visits, field-based learning activities, and experiential exposure initiatives provide students with meaningful insights into real-world business environments, organizational practices, market dynamics, and consumer behaviour. Through immersive experiences such as trade fair visits, retail and market observations, corporate interactions, and community engagement activities, students gain practical understanding beyond classroom learning.
These experiences encourage experiential learning, critical observation, collaborative thinking, and a broader understanding of industry and societal ecosystems, helping students become more aware, adaptable, and future-ready professionals.
The Capstone Project is a collaborative research-based work on a comprehensive management problem or question of practical significance. The desired outcome of the project is to provide a solution to the problem. Here, students steer the project with required inputs from the faculty guide as per the chosen topic.
With a valuable intellectual experience, it provides students the platform to demonstrate skills of creative thinking, critical reasoning, application of theory, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation while solving problems.
At JSB, Summer Internship Program (SIP) is designed to provide students an experience in business organization and to enable them to develop an orientation toward the industrial environment. Being six to eight weeks long, it exposes students to the dynamics of an organization and to integrate classroom learning with practical experience.
So while the host organization benefits through the availability of young and enthusiastic interns possessing newer ideas to aid in the execution of organizational tasks, students learn from industry veterans.
