“Blanket Donation Drive”
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a term used to describe the initiatives undertaken by an organization to ensure societal welfare. These efforts can range from donating money to non-profits to implementing environmental friendly policies at the workplace.
The purpose of CSR is to give back to the community, take part in philanthropic causes and provide positive social values.

- To generate awareness amongst the students and other members of the institute about the importance of social responsibility.
- To inculcate in all, a practice of giving back to the society to the best of one’s ability.

- To uplift the weaker section of the society.
- To provide a platform for collaboration with different civic bodies working towards such initiatives.
Blanket Donation Drive
The freezing winters are harsh for everyone. They add to the plight of the weaker section of the society, especially those who do not have the basic facilities to survive such weather conditions. Under the CSR Initiative, students of Jaipuria School of Business organized a Blanket Donation Drive on 14th January, 2023 on the auspicious occasion of Makar sankranti. The members of the institute wholeheartedly contributed for this noble cause both in cash and kind (warm clothes and blankets). The committee was able to gather approximately Rs. 15,000 as funds, which were utilized to purchase blankets. Apart from this we were also able to gather sufficient sweaters, jackets, shawls, socks and gloves for donation.
The agenda for organizing this drive was to sensitize the students about the under privileged section of the society and the numerous difficulties that they face on a daily basis. The volunteers covered 4major locations in the Delhi-NCR region namely Vasundhara, Khorad, MayurVihar and SaiMandirIndirapuram. We were overwhelmed to see the pitiable conditions in which these people live. Most did not have a roof over their heads and those that did were far from liveable. Despite the meagre resources available with them most of the people offered us food when we distributed the blankets. This goes on to show that a small act of kindness on our part can bring about a big change in the long run in the lives of such people.
The message of giving back to the society was reinforced in the mind of the students and they realized the privileges they enjoy by having a proper food, shelter and clothing. Our students ensured that they would be associated with such initiatives in future as well so that they can keep on contributing towards the upliftment of the weaker section of the society. The institute is striving to provide further exposure to students towards CSR initiatives and help as many needy people as possible.
