Dr. Deepak Tandon   is   currently working as a Senior Professor in the Finance area at Jaipuria School of Business(JSB) , Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. He is also   Heading the Executive  Education domain  ( MDPs / FDPs / Industry Consultancy ) at JSB  . He has an experiential Summary of Over 42 Years (25 Academics and 17 Years in Industry). Prior to JSB,  he was a  Professor of repute  (14 Years) at the International Management Institute ( IMI ) New Delhi where he had been Programme Chair (PGDM Banking & Finance) , Area Chair Finance ( PGDM ) , Faculty mentor  at Finance Club over 13 Years ,  Head of  Centre for Advance Banking and Prog Director : MDPs of various  Banks . Banking Conferences and Conclaves  were  successfully Organised  and conducted  by him.  During 2023-24 itself he has more than 12 MDPs for a Public Sector Bank Professionals in the area of Intensive Credit Risk Management for Officers from Scale II,III, and IV from PAN   India : Zones and Circle offices .He has also conducted various MDPs / Consultancy projects on  Case Writing and Analysis , Research Methodology etc  .  In past  he has done  Corporate Trainings at PNB , Bank Of India, RBL  Bank , Indusind Bank , JK Bank  in Specialised Banking  Credit Management and Treasury Areas.  At the PSU  industry level various MDPS  were conducted at    GAIL, NALCO, MCX, Coal India , HUDCO , RITES etc.

At the International level  he trained various foreign  delegates  at ITEC  Programmes under Ministry Of External Affairs .He holds  a Ph.D ( USA) ; M.B.A. – Finance (FMS, Delhi University); L.L.B. (Delhi University); M.Sc. (Delhi University), C.A.I.I.B. (Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai) . He  is  also  a NISM,   SEBI  SMART Trainer and has various NISM  Certifications to his credit  apart from Foreign Certifications of repute .  Before joining IMI New Delhi, he was a Professor in Finance at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM) Dwarka, New Delhi, where he was also the coordinator for PGDM – Executive programme and conducted various MDP’s and FDPs.  He had been a visiting Faculty at IIFT New Delhi , Jaipuria  Institute  of Management, SRCC Delhi University  , SP  Jain Mumbai , IMT Ghaziabad, ICAI Noida  , ICWAI New Delhi  , Bridge  school Gurgaon , and other allied  Premier B Schools . Internationally he has taught  Finance courses at University of Luton/ Bedfordshire UK, Sasin University Bangkok.  As for  the Industry Experience he   worked for various Banks viz. Punjab National Bank  ,PNB Capital Services ( Scale 1-2) , Vysya Bank Ltd (Scale 3)  , The Jammu & Kashmir  Bank Ltd ( Scale 4 -5) , IndusInd Bank Ltd (  Head Operations  & Compliance PAN India )  and Oriental Bank of Commerce ( Scale 5-6)  as Chief Manager , Vice President  / Senior Faculty – Forex and Risk Management , Credit , Treasury and Banking Operations. 

\During his academic stint,  he has taught various finance electives apart from core courses in Finance  such as Management of Banks, Project Appraisal and Financial Control, Project & Infrastructure Finance, Securities Analysis and Portfolio Management ,  Corporate Taxation; Financial Derivatives & Commodity Trading ; Valuations  in  Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Risk Management; International Finance & Treasury Management; Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management; Commodities & Stock Markets; Risk Management in Banks ,Investment Banking , Strategic Risk Management etc. He is an approved ISO Lead Auditor from Nigel Bauer & Associates (Germany), IRCA certified (London) Auditor. He is also on the Academic Board of three Business  schools of repute.

 He has authored well over 139 research papers in refereed National and International Journals, 19  Scopus with over 78 citations, 10 Book Chapters, 8  Case studies with Teaching Notes in HBR Listed Ivey  Cases  , Case Centre etc  .He has also been a Chairperson / Keynote speaker at various National and International Conferences. He is an Editor – in – Chief for ‘Asian Journal of Research in Social Sciences and Humanities’ and on the Editorial Board for several  Scopus/Peer reviewed journals. He has also authored 10 books in areas of Forex Management / Strategic Management / Risk Management /Retail Banking, Management of Banks/ Emerging Issues in Finance. He has been an External Evaluator of about 58 Ph.Ds  in Universities of repute / B Schools  He has been awarded  Best  Professor in Finance PAN  India  for consecutive 3 Years by  reputed bodies   and  a Gold Medal termed “Jewel of India Award” and “Vidya Gaurav  Gold Medal Award” from Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi and International Institute of Education    & Management, Mumbai respectively. He is also a recipient of various Academic Excellence Awards viz. Lifetime Achievement Awards from UGC Sponsored RIMT Mandi Gobindgarh and from D.A.V. Institution Board, Punjab. He is a Life member of   The Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA) -   Wilmington   DE, USA: Kolkata Chapter   and an affiliate member of Global Association of Risk Professionals   (GARP) New Jersey USA. 

International Presentations include papers at China  Sichuan  University , Chengdu ,  on Economic Model and at 2016 World finance Conference  , St. jones University Manhattan , New York  where he was also a   Discussant reviewer and a Chair. He is also  a recipient of Honorary Life Fellow in 2020  by Novel  Research Academy , Puducherry . Received "Best Professor in Financial Management " Award at 22nd Dewang Mehta Business School Award on 15th November 2015 at Mumbai. For the year 2024  he is the recipient of  World Achievers Award-2024 for "Distinguished Professor of the Year" in recognition of his  remarkable contributions to Education, Research, Institutional Growth and for social work.  For the year 2025  , he is  nominated to  receive   '𝙈𝙏𝘾 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙠𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙮𝙖 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝘼𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙  for his exceptional contributions and lasting impact on higher education.
