Dr.Hiram Ting as one of the speaker for Student Development Program on “Responsible Businesses and SDG Goals and facilitator for Faculty Development Programm on “Qualitative Research Methodology & Tools”
Dr.Hiram Ting who is an Associate Professor at UCSI University, Malasiya and Director of Responsible Borneo (REBORN) and the Chairman of Sarawak Research Society . He delivered the session on “Responsible Business and SDG goals”. He conveyed his thoughts on what responsible business means, a business that considers society, economy and environment. These businesses are not only driven by profit, but also by a desired to improve life around the world by providing environmentally safe, ethical and equal working conditions. He kindles our students to be responsible with values. Our students enthusiastically participated in Q&A session and exchanged dialogues with Prof.Hiram.
Jaipuria Business School in the consent and collaboration with Prof.(Dr.) Hiram Ting & Emerald Publishing India organized a Faculty Development Programm under the department of International Relations Centre. Prof.Hiram Ting, who is an acclaimed and celebrated researcher, Associate Professor at UCSI University, Malaysia, Director of Responsible Borneo (REBORN) and the Chairman of Sarawak Research Society. His session on “Qualitative Research Methodology & Tools” for faculty was well-informed and highlighted problematic areas. He advised the participants to take the ownership of the research process, and how academic gaps are filled through dialogue and critical argument. “Asking question is a skill” which session emphasized upon too. He also encouraged our faculty to be research oriented and should not be discouraged with rejection. Rejection is a step towards selection that he reinforced and assured faculty for all support for collaborative research. He also familiarized faculty with qualitative tools. Faculty from Amity University, Sharda University and IARA research Solutions Private Ltd. too participated in this FDP. This FDP was supported by Emerald Publishing India.
