Institution's Innovation Council (IIC)

Established in accordance with the AICTE Startup policy, the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at Jaipuria School of Business, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, serves as an essential hub for all matters related to innovation and entrepreneurship. In alignment with the National Innovation and Start-up Policy, the institution has initiated an eight-member committee within the Jaipuria School of Business.

This committee is tasked with crafting detailed guidelines addressing the advancement of innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship management. The focus is to encompasses the vital areas of Intellectual Property (IP) rights, technology transfer norms, and the pathways to commercialization.

These initiatives follow the AICTE's Startup policy release, enriched by insights gained from training by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and interactions with experienced industry mentors, culminating in the creation of a comprehensive policy guidance document.

  • Cultivating an Innovation Ecosystem: Encourage a systematic innovation culture within the institution.
  • Nurturing Young Minds: Support students in developing new ideas into prototypes through encouragement and mentorship.
  • Entrepreneurial Skill Development: Equip students with entrepreneurial skills and provide mentorship.
  • Strategic Policy Implementation: Formulate and implement a strategy for innovation and entrepreneurship that permeates the entire institution.
  • Broadening Innovation Exposure: Ensure widespread student engagement in innovation and pre-incubation activities from an early stage.
  • Competency Enhancement: Improve in-house capabilities to assist potential entrepreneurs and innovators.
  • Enhancing Collaborations: Foster inter-departmental and inter-institutional collaborations, linking incubators and other ecosystem enablers.
  • Activity Organization: Execute innovation and entrepreneurship activities as recommended by the Central MIC within specific timelines.
  • Innovation Recognition: Identify innovative projects for rewards and share success stories.
  • Educational Initiatives: Host workshops, seminars, and interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals to enrich the mentor pool for student innovators.
  • Networking: Establish connections with peer institutions and national entrepreneurship organizations.
  • Innovation Portal: Develop a portal showcasing innovative projects by faculty and students.
  • Interactive Events: Organize hackathons, idea competitions, and challenges, fostering industry collaboration.

By adhering to these objectives and functions, the IIC at Jaipuria School of Business aims to mold an environment that not only breeds innovation but also equips its community with the necessary skills and resources to translate ideas into impactful enterprises.
