On August 22, 2025, we had the privilege of hosting Prof. (Dr.) Prakash Singh, Professor of Finance at IIM Lucknow, for a thought-provoking lecture on “The Irrelevance of Accounting: Rise of Intangibles.”

The session explored a topic at the heart of modern finance—how traditional accounting principles are evolving to account for intangible assets. Prof. Singh shared his expertise on the growing importance of these assets in today’s business landscape and how companies must adjust their financial strategies to stay competitive.

Students from the PGDM Batch 2025-27 were treated to invaluable insights on the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation, as Prof. Singh discussed the shift from tangible to intangible assets and its implications on the way businesses value their resources.
